Is RQS right for you?

Know Your Process. Know Your Prices

RQS is made for residential builders, remodelers, design-build firms and single trade contractors who estimate their own jobs.

RQS might be a good fit...

  • Do you know your pricing structure or would you like to develop one so you can use the information more effectively to generate sales and ensure profit?
  • Are you willing to put in the time to build out your system?
  • Are you frustrated with your current estimating software and believe there has to be a better way?
  • Do you find yourself trying to manage options and upgrades and getting lost in the confusion?
  • Does spec and proposal writing take more time than estimating?
  • Do you want to speed up your sales cycle because you believe it will increase your close ratio?

RQS might not be right for you...

  • Do you chase down estimates from vendors and trade partners each time you price a job?
  • Do you use Excel and expect estimating software to work in a similar manner?
  • Do you price your jobs by hand in a notebook?

What RQS doesn’t do

We’d rather you know up front. RQS focuses on estimating, selling and specifying, and works alongside the tools you already use for the rest.

  • Accounting, invoicing or payroll. Keep using your accounting software.
  • Commercial or heavy civil estimating. RQS is built around residential work.
  • Full field project management. RQS builds a schedule from your estimate, but daily logs and crew management live elsewhere.

How builders typically start

1. Bring in your database

Import your items and assemblies from Excel, or begin with a starter database and adjust it.

2. Price one real job

Build an estimate you’ve already priced the old way and compare the two.

3. Send the proposal

Your proposal, specification and selections come out of the same estimate, in your company’s name.
